This is the story of an honest and decent family who have been on an extruadinary journey dealing with the Brunei Royal Family. This is the story of Mark and Selina who live in the Channel Island, UK.

The Brunei Royals first enticed Mark to do business with them and enticed him to accept a business investment. When the Royals failed to deliver the money, they had Mark use his own money to fund their absent money. The Brunei Royals then spent another year making all sorts of financial promises and contractual commitments, none of which were honored. The Royals were taken to court and negotiated a stay in proceedings in exchange for a re-establishment of the investment deal. Despite their lawyers drawing up new contracts, they failed to honor all of their financial obligations in that as well. (A subsequent private investigation by senior Metropolitan Police Officers concluded it to be an alleged fraud.) Mark took them to court again and won an order to recover his loss of about£50m. The Royals failed to settle or address that court order so the court ordered that The Royals be summoned for questioning about their assets.

While all this was going on Mark attracted a lot of unwelcomed publicity from reputable media such as The Times, Forbes, etc. This publicity also attracted some unusual characters looking to trade scandalous information about members of the family including the Sultan himself. Mark did not place a great deal of credibility on most of these characters but there was one in particular that was different. Mark did not want to have his legitimate business claim and court order get mixed up in alleged scandalous information so he directly informed the Sultans emissary in London, a person who he had already had contact with and respected. Mark’s assistance was immediately accepted but beyond that point in the journey no more can be said………..

However, after a further three years, Mark remains unpaid and the victim of some quite remarkable treatment by this wealthy Royal Family.

His life has been turned upside down over the last few years as Mark fought and won this legal case against a member of the Brunei Royal family. He’s been through a great deal whilst walking a professional and respectful path when litigating against a Royal Family. Having won the case and being awarded financial recompense he has spent years trying to get the Sultan, The Queen of Brunei and the Royals to ensure he’s payed what’s owed. But despite his loyalty and the Sultan being personally asked to ensure justice and fair play prevails, they refuse the play fair. After all the emotional and financial suffering, he hopes that others will find support in his situation.

This web site is ‘coffee’ themed as the case was all about launching the very popular brand of coffee shops in the UK know as “Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf”. A name probably very familiar to anyone who’s spent any time in Asia and California. This horrific journey of trusting and relying on the integrity of such a wealthy Royal Family for so many years has destroyed Mark’s life and he is now trying to rebuild it, all because he spent years trusting the Sultanate and ultimately not receiving the monies he was owed.
